The phase symbols When a programme is set, all the symbols of the phases related to the programme come on. When the programme starts, only the symbol of the phase in operation flashes. Delay start When you press the delay start button, the display shows the delay start time Alarm codes If the appliance has a malfunction, the display shows alarm codes. Refer to «Troubleshooting». ENGLISH 13 At programme start the display shows the duration programme for the maximum load capacity. During the washing phase the programme duration is automatically calculated and can be greatly reduced if the laundry load is lower than the maximum load capacity (e.g. Cotton 60°C, maximum load capacity 8 kg, the programme duration exceeds 2 hours; real load 1 kg, the programme duration don’t reach 1 hour). When the appliance is calculating the real programme duration a dot blinks in the display.

The display shows the related indicator and delay time. 7.3 Time Save With this option you can decrease the programme duration. • Press this button one time to set 'Shortened duration' for items with daily soil. • Press this button two times to set 'Extra Quick' for items with almost no soil. The set of this option increases the programme duration. Some programmes accept only one of the two options. 7.

You can activate this option: • After you press Start/Pause : the options and the programme knob are locked. • Before you press Start/Pause : the appliance cannot start. 8.3 Permanent Extra Rinse With this option you can permanently have an extra rinse when you set a new programme. • To activate/deactivate this option press and at the same time until the indicator Extra Rinse comes on/goes off. 9. Always obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the detergent products. 10.4 Check the position of the flap 1.

To change the temperature and/or the spin speed, press the related buttons. 3. Set the available functions. 10.6 Starting a programme without the delay start Press button Start/Pause to start the programme. The relevant indicator stops to flash and stays on.
www.aeg.com 10.12 Opening the door when the delay start is active While the delay start operates, the appliance door is locked. To open the appliance door: 1. Press button Start/Pause. In the display the door lock indicator goes off. 2. Open the appliance door. 3. Close the door and press button Start/Pause. The delay start continues. 10.

Turn the programme knob to set a new cycle. 19 If you set a programme or an option that ends with water in the drum, the AUTO Stand-by function doesn't deactivate the appliance to remind you to drain the water. 11. HINTS AND TIPS WARNING! Refer to Safety chapters. 11.1 The laundry load • Divide the laundry in: white, coloured, synthetics, delicates and wool. • Obey the washing instructions that are on the laundry care labels.
www.aeg.com • If necessary, use a stain remover when you set a programme with a low temperature. • To use the correct quantity of the detergent, check the water hardness of your domestic system use a water softener for washing machines. In areas where the water hardness is soft it is not necessary to use a water softener. 11.5 Water hardness Use the correct quantity of the water softener. Obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the product.

If this occurs, do steps (1) through (9) of 'Cleaning the drain filter'. If necessary, clean the pump. When you drain the water with the emergency drain procedure, you must activate again the drain system: 1.
www.aeg.com 13. TROUBLESHOOTING • - The appliance door is open or not closed correctly. Please check the door! 13.1 Introduction • The start of the appliance does not occur or it stops during operation. - The mains supply is unstable. Wait until the mains supply is stable. • First try to find a solution to the problem (refer to the table). If not, contact the Authorised Service Centre. - No communication between electronic elements of the appliance. Switch off and switch on again.
ENGLISH Problem Possible solution The appliance does not fill with water and drain immediately. Make sure that the drain hose is in the correct position. The hose may be too low. The appliance does not drain the water. Make sure that the sink spigot is not clogged. 25 Make sure that the drain hose has no kinks or bends. Make sure that the drain filter is not clogged. Clean the filter, if necessary. Refer to 'Care and cleaning'. Make sure that the connection of the drain hose is correct.
www.aeg.com Problem Possible solution The cycle is longer than the time displayed. An unbalanced laundry load increases the duration time. This is a normal behaviour of the appliance. The washing results are not satisfactory. Increase the detergent quantity or use a different detergent. Use special products to remove the stubborn stains before you wash the laundry. Make sure that you set the correct temperature. Decrease the laundry load. You cannot set an option.

Les données peuvent différer pour différentes raisons : la quantité et le type de linge, la température ambiante ou de l'eau. Au démarrage du programme, l'affichage indique la durée du programme pour la charge maximale. Durant la phase de lavage, la durée du programme est calculée automatiquement.

OPTIONS 7.1 Départ/Pause Appuyez sur la touche Départ/Pause pour lancer ou interrompre un programme. 7.2 Départ différé Cette option vous permet de différer le départ du programme de 30 minutes à 20 heures. Le voyant correspondant et le délai s'affichent. 7.3 Gain de temps Cette option vous permet de diminuer la durée d'un programme. • Appuyez une fois sur cette touche pour programmer un cycle de lavage avec une « Durée réduite » pour les articles peu sales.

Le programme est terminé. L'appareil présente une anomalie de fonctionnement. FRANÇAIS 43 10.4 Vérifiez la position du volet 1. Tirez le distributeur de produit de lavage jusqu'à la butée. 2. Appuyez sur le levier pour faire sortir le distributeur. 1 2 ATTENTION! Veillez à ce qu'il n'y ait pas de linge coincé entre le joint et le hublot. Cela pourrait provoquer une fuite d'eau ou endommager le linge. 10.3 Ajout du produit de lavage et des additifs Compartiment destiné à la phase de prélavage, au programme de trempage ou à un produit détachant.
www.aeg.com Avec le volet en position BASSE : • N'utilisez pas de lessives liquides gélatineuses ou épaisses. • N'insérez pas de lessive liquide audelà du niveau maximal indiqué sur le volet. • Ne sélectionnez pas de phase de prélavage. • Ne sélectionnez pas la fonction Départ différé. 5. Dosez le produit de lavage et l'assouplissant. 6. Fermez soigneusement le distributeur de produit de lavage. Assurez-vous que le volet ne bloque pas la fermeture du tiroir. 10.5 Réglage d'un programme 1.
FRANÇAIS 10.10 Annulation d'un programme en cours 1. Appuyez sur la touche Marche/Arrêt pour annuler le programme et éteindre l'appareil. 2. Appuyez à nouveau sur la touche Marche/Arrêt pour allumer l'appareil. Maintenant, vous pouvez sélectionner un nouveau programme de lavage. Avant de lancer le nouveau programme, l'appareil peut vidanger l'eau. Dans ce cas, assurez-vous qu'il y a toujours du détergent dans le compartiment de produit de lavage ; si ce n'est pas le cas, versez à nouveau du détergent. 10.
www.aeg.com 10.15 Vidange de l'eau après la fin du cycle Le programme de lavage est terminé, mais il y a de l'eau dans le tambour : Le tambour tourne régulièrement pour éviter que le linge ne se froisse. Le voyant de verrouillage du couvercle est allumé. Le couvercle reste verrouillé. Vous devez vidanger l'eau pour pouvoir ouvrir le couvercle : 1. Si besoin est, diminuez la vitesse d'essorage. 2. Appuyez sur la touche Départ/Pause. L'appareil effectue la vidange et l'essorage. 3.
FRANÇAIS se produit, répartissez manuellement les articles dans la cuve et lancez à nouveau la phase d'essorage. 11.2 Taches tenaces Pour certaines taches, l'eau et les produits de lavage ne suffisent pas. Il est recommandé d'éliminer ces taches avant de mettre les articles dans l'appareil. Des détachants spéciaux sont disponibles. Utilisez le détachant spécial adapté au type de tache et de textile. 11.
www.aeg.com Examinez régulièrement le tambour pour éviter le dépôt de particules de calcaire et de rouille. Examinez régulièrement le joint et enlevez tous les objets situés à l'intérieur. Pour éliminer les particules de rouille, utilisez uniquement des produits spéciaux pour lave-linge. Procédez séparément d'un lavage de linge. 12.5 Nettoyage du tambour Examinez régulièrement le tambour pour éviter le dépôt de particules de calcaire et de rouille.

Attendez que l'alimentation électrique se stabilise.
