ENGLISH 6. CONSUMPTION VALUES The data of this table are approximate. Different causes can change the data: the quantity and type of laundry, the water and ambient temperature. At programme start the display shows the duration programme for the maximum load capacity. During the washing phase the programme duration is automatically calculated and can be greatly reduced if the laundry load is lower than the maximum load capacity (e.g.

SETTINGS 8.1 Acoustic signals The acoustic signals operate when: • You activate the appliance. • You deactivate the appliance. • You press the buttons. • The programme is completed. • The appliance has a malfunction. To deactivate/activate the acoustic signals, press Vlekken - Taches / Voorwas - Prélavag and Extra Spoelen - Rinçage + at the same time for 6 seconds. If you deactivate the acoustic signals, they continue operate when the appliance has a malfunction. 8.

ENGLISH With the flap in the position DOWN: • Do not use gelatinous or thick liquid detergents. • Do not put more liquid detergent than the limit showed in the flap. • Do not set the prewash phase. • Do not set the delay start function. 5. Measure out the detergent and the fabric conditioner. 6. Carefully close the detergent dispenser. Make sure that the flap does not cause a blockage when you close the drawer. 17 10.7 Starting a programme with the delay start 1.
www.aeg.com 2. Press button Auto Off again to activate the appliance. Now, you can set a new washing programme. Before starting the new programme the appliance drains the water. Make sure that the detergent is still in the detergent compartment, if not fill the detergent again. In the display 1. Press button Auto Off to deactivate the appliance. After five minutes from the end of the programme, the energy saving function automatically deactivates the appliance.
ENGLISH 10.15 AUTO OFF option The AUTO OFF option automatically deactivates the appliance to decrease the energy consumption when: • You do not use the appliance for 5 minutes before you press Start/Pauze - Départ/Pause button. Press the button Auto Off to activate the appliance again. 19 • After 5 minutes from the end of the washing programme Press the button Auto Off to activate the appliance again. www.aeg.com 11.4 Ecological hints • Set a programme without the prewash phase to wash laundry with normal soil. • Always start a washing programme with the maximum load of laundry. • If necessary, use a stain remover when you set a programme with a low temperature. • To use the correct quantity of the detergent, check the water hardness of your domestic system use a water softener for washing machines. In areas where the water hardness is soft it is not necessary to use a water softener.

If this occurs, do steps (1) through (9) of 'Cleaning the drain filter'. If necessary, clean the pump. TROUBLESHOOTING • - The appliance does not drain the water. • The start of the appliance does not occur or it stops during operation. - The appliance door is open or not closed correctly. Please check the door! • First try to find a solution to the problem (refer to the table). If not, contact the Authorised Service Centre. - The mains supply is unstable. Wait until the mains supply is stable. • - The anti-flood device is on. Disconnect the appliance and close the water tap.
ENGLISH Problem Possible solution The appliance does not drain the water. Make sure that the sink spigot is not clogged. 25 Make sure that the drain hose has no kinks or bends. Make sure that the drain filter is not clogged. Clean the filter, if necessary. Refer to 'Care and cleaning'. Make sure that the connection of the drain hose is correct. Set the drain programme if you set a programme without drain phase. Set the drain programme if you set an option which ends with water in the tub.
www.aeg.com Problem Possible solution The cycle is shorter than the time displayed. The appliance calculates a new time according to the laundry load. See the ‘Consumption Values’ chapter. The cycle is longer than the time displayed. An unbalanced laundry load increases the duration time. This is a normal behaviour of the appliance. The washing results are not satisfactory. Increase the detergent quantity or use a different detergent.

Folgende Faktoren können diese Werte verändern: Die Wäscheart und -menge, die Wasser- und Raumtemperatur. Am Programmstart zeigt das Display die Programmdauer für die maximale Beladung an. Während der Waschphase wird die Programmdauer automatisch berechnet und verringert sich möglicherweise beträchtlich, wenn die Wäsche weniger wiegt als die maximal zulässige Beladung.

www.aeg.com 10.14 Abpumpen des Wassers nach dem Programmende 10.15 Option ABSCHALTAUTOMATIK Das Waschprogramm ist beendet, aber es steht Wasser in der Trommel: Über die Option ABSCHALTAUTOMATIK wird das Gerät in den folgenden Fällen automatisch ausgeschaltet, um den Energieverbrauch zu senken: Die Trommel dreht sich regelmäßig, um Knitterfalten in der Wäsche zu vermeiden. DEUTSCH • Eine sehr geringe Beladung kann in der Schleuderphase Probleme verursachen. Verteilen Sie die Wäschestücke in diesem Fall mit der Hand neu und starten Sie die Schleuderphase erneut. 11.2 Hartnäckige Flecken Für manche Flecken sind Wasser und Waschmittel nicht ausreichend. Wir empfehlen, diese Flecken zu entfernen, bevor Sie die entsprechenden Textilien in das Gerät geben. Spezial-Fleckentferner sind im Handel erhältlich.
www.aeg.com 12.4 Türdichtung empfehlen wir die Verwendung eines Enthärters für Waschmaschinen. Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, dass sich kein Kalk und keine Rostpartikel in der Trommel absetzen. Verwenden Sie zur Entfernung von Rost nur Spezialprodukte für Waschmaschinen. Führen Sie die Entkalkung nicht gleichzeitig mit einer Wäsche durch. Überprüfen Sie die Türdichtung regelmäßig und entfernen Sie ggf. darin verfangene Gegenstände.

Falls das Gerät in einem Bereich installiert ist, in dem die Temperatur unter 0 °C sinken kann, entfernen Sie das im Zulaufschlauch und in der Ablaufpumpe verbliebene Wasser. In diesem Fall führen Sie die Schritte (1) bis (9) unter „Reinigen des Ablauffilters“ durch.
www.aeg.com WARNUNG! Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Temperatur über 0 °C liegt, bevor Sie das Gerät wieder einschalten. Der Hersteller ist nicht für Schäden verantwortlich, die auf zu niedrige Temperaturen zurückzuführen sind. 13. FEHLERSUCHE WARNUNG! Siehe Kapitel Sicherheitshinweise. • - Das Gerät pumpt das Wasser nicht ab. • - Die Gerätetür steht offen oder ist nicht richtig geschlossen. Überprüfen Sie bitte die Tür! • - Die Stromzufuhr ist nicht konstant.
DEUTSCH Problem 53 Mögliche Abhilfe Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wasserdruck der Wasserversorgung nicht zu niedrig ist. Diese Information erhalten Sie von Ihrem Wasserversorger. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wasserzulauf nicht verstopft ist. Überzeugen Sie sich, dass der Filter des Zulaufschlauchs und der Filter des Ventils nicht verstopft sind. Siehe „Reinigung und Pflege“. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Zulaufschlauch nicht geknickt oder zu stark gekrümmt ist.
www.aeg.com Problem Mögliche Abhilfe Verwenden Sie ein geeignetes Waschmittel in der richtigen Menge. Die Tür des Geräts lässt sich nicht öffnen. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Waschprogramm beendet ist. Stellen Sie das Abpump- oder Schleuderprogramm ein, wenn sich noch Wasser in der Trommel befindet. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät mit Spannung versorgt wird. Das Problem kann durch eine Gerätestörung verursacht worden sein. Wenden Sie sich an den autorisierten Kundendienst.
DEUTSCH 55 14. ÖFFNEN DER TÜR IM NOTFALL Im Falle eines Stromausfalls oder einer Gerätestörung bleibt die Tür verriegelt. Das Waschprogramm wird fortgesetzt, sobald die Stromversorgung wieder hergestellt wird. Bleibt die Tür wegen einer Störung verriegelt, kann sie mit der Notentriegelungsfunktion geöffnet werden.
