Washing types and care symbols
Care symbols help you to choose the right washing program. Always sort your
washing as a function of its nature and the care label.
Temperatures specified on these labels are always maximum values.
Washing to be boiled
Cotton and linen textiles marked with this care symbol are not delicate. They
resist mechanical forces and high temperatures. The WHITE/COLOREDS
program is suitable for this type of washing.
Coloreds
Cotton and linen textiles marked with this care symbol are not delicate. They
resist mechanical forces.
The WHITES/COLOREDS program is suitable for this type of washing.
Easy care washing
More gentle mechanical treatment is necessary for textiles such as treated
cotton, blended cotton based fabrics and synthetic fabrics, marked with this
symbol. The SYNTHETICS program is appropriate for this type of washing.
Delicate washing
Textiles such as layered, micro-fiber, synthetic textiles and net curtains
marked with this care symbol require particularly gentle treatment. The
DELICATE program is appropriate for this type of washing.
Woolens and particular fragile washing
Textiles such as wool, wool blends or silk marked with this label are
particularly sensitive to mechanical forces. The WOOLENS program is
suitable for this type of textile.
Woolen clothes marked with the
(wool) label are only machine washable
if the comment “non-fluffing” or “fluff resistant”, and “machine washable”
is added.
Warning ! Textiles marked with the
(do not wash) label cannot be
washed in the washing machine!
