Choice of detergent
Only use products designed for use in washing machines. In general,
respect manufacturer’s instructions.
Quantities
The quantity of detergent to be used depends on:
the amount of washing to be washed:
If the detergent manufacturer does not give quantities for small loads,
reduce the quantity by one third for a half load, or by one half for a
smaller load, from the recommended quantities for a full load.

Please respect the usage instructions and quantities given by product
manufacturers.
Using a softener
You must use a softener if your water is medium hard to very hard (range
II or more). Respect the manufacturer’s instructions! Then always add
detergent quantities necessary for hardness range I ( =soft). The water
distribution company in your region can give you information about the
degree of hardness of your water.
Since the softener is entrained with the main product (prior water soften-
ing) you only need to use eighty percent of the softener quantity indicated
on the packaging.
