Installation
The floor must be clean and dry, without any traces of polish or other
lubricant that could make the washing machine slide! Do not use
lubricant to help you move the washing machine!
It is recommended that you should not install the washing machine on
a floor with a thick carpet or flexible foam, since it will not be very stable.
If you must install the washing machine on a carpet, make sure that the
openings at the bottom of the washing machine are not blocked. They
are designed to provide good ventilation for your washing machine. You
can put a foam mat available in the shops under your washing machine
if you install it on small tiles.
If your floor is unstable (particularly if it is supported on flexible joists),
screw a water repellent wood board at least 15 mm thick on top of at least
two planks. If possible, put the washing machine in a corner in the room;
this is the most stable part of the floor where resonant oscillations are
minimum.
Never compensate for minor floor irregularities by putting wood,
cardboard or other material under your washing machine.
If your layout forces you to put the washing machine adjacent to a gas
cooker or a coal stove, insert an insulating board (85 ยด 57 cm) between
the gas cooker and the washing machine, fitted with an aluminum sheet
on the side in contact with the cooker.
