1. Fix the pipe to the machine using an elbow connector.
Warning! Tighten the plastic nut on the pipe screw connector manu-
ally.
2. Screw the pipe onto the water inlet tap with an R3/4 (inch) thread, using
the straight fitting.
3. Before starting to use the washing machine, check that the fitting is not
leaking by slowly opening the water inlet tap.
Water drainage
The drain pipe may be connected to a siphon,
or it may placed in a washbasin, sink or a bath.
Water drained into a siphon
The end piece fitted on the end of the pipe may
be connected to any type of standard siphon.
Use a clamping collar to keep the end piece in
position on the siphon.
Water drained into a sink
When the drain pipe is placed in a sink, a washbasin or a bath, use the elbow
supplied with the washing machine to prevent it from slipping.
This pipe could be forced out of the sink under the pressure of the water
being drained.
Small sinks should be avoided !
You can avoid this problem by fixing the elbow to the water tap or to the
wall using the orifice provided.
Discharge heights greater than 1 m
Every washing machine has a drain pump designed to empty dirty water,
and to discharge liquids higher than the supply pipe, at a height of up to
1 m above the bottom of the washing machine.
Please contact the AEG After Sales Service if your discharge height is
greater than 1 m.
