Recycling
Recycle packaging!
Please retrieve the packaging materials used for your washing machine. All
packaging materials can be safely recycled and placed in a waste plant or
burned in a household waste incineration installation.
Plastics can also be reused:
The packaging cover and inner bags are made of polyethylene (identified by
the >PE< symbol).
Packing parts are composed of expanded HCFC free polystyrene (identified
by the >PS< symbol).
Cardboard is made from recycled paper and must be put into the waste paper
collection bin.
Scrapping an old washing machine:
If you want to scrap your washing machine, please take it to the closest
recycling center or to your specialized dealer. They will take it back in exchange
for a small payment.
Protection of the environment
Do not do pre-wash medium dirty washing. You will save detergent, water
and time (and also protect the environment!).
The washing machine is particularly economic if you use it to its full
capacity.
Use only one half or two thirds of the stated dose of detergent for small
quantities of washing.
Stains and minor dirt may be eliminated by an appropriate preliminary
treatment. You can then do your washing at a lower temperature.
You can often eliminate the softener. Try it some time! If you are using a
dryer, your washing will come out smooth and soft even if you do not add
a softener.
You must use a softener if your water is fairly or very hard (hardness range
II or more - see the section on “products”). The detergent may then be
proportioned for hardness range I (= soft).
