Washing Types and Care Symbols
The care symbols help you choose the correct wash programme. Wash-
ing should be sorted according to type and care symbol. The tempera-
tures indicated in the care symbols are all maximum temperatures.
Cottons ç
Fabrics made from cotton and linen with this care symbol will with-
stand maximum wash actions and high temperatures. The t }
(COTTONS/LINEN, EASY-CARES) programme is suitable for this type of
washing.
Linen èë
Fabrics made from cotton and linen which carry this care symbol will
withstand maximum wash actions. The t } (COTTONS/LINEN,
EASY-CARES) programme is suitable for this type of washing.
Easy-care washing êí
Fabrics such as treated cotton, cotton mixed fabrics and synthetics
which carry this care symbol need a gentler wash action. The t }
(COTTONS/LINEN, EASY-CARES) and
<
(EASY IRON) programmes are
available for this type of washing.
Delicates ì
Fabrics such as those with layered fibres, microfibres, synthetics and cur-
tains with this care symbol require particularly careful handling. The
à (DELICATES) programme is appropriate for these types of washing.
Viscose íì
Modern fabrics such as viscose, cupro, lyocell, modal and others require
particularly careful handling. The f (FASHION) programme is appro-
priate for these types of washing.
Woollens, silk and particularly delicate wash items ï
Fabrics such as wool, wool mixtures and silk which carry these care
symbols require a very gentle wash cycle. The s (WOOL)/P (Hand
wash) and Ñ (SILK)/P (Hand wash) programmes are suitable for this
type of fabric.
