The washing machine
vibrates during opera-
tion or is unstable.
The transport packaging has
not been removed.
Remove transport packaging
in accordance with the
installation and connection
instructions.
The height-adjustable screw
feet are wrongly positioned.
Adjust in accordance with
the installation and connec-
tion instructions.
There is very little washing in
the drum (e.g. only one
dressing gown).
This does not impair the
function.
The water could not be com-
pletely pumped out before
spinning because
the drain hose is kinked
or the drain pump is blocked.
Check the drain hose and re-
move any kinks if necessary,
or clean the drain pump and,
if required, remove foreign
bodies from the pump hous-
ing.
Excessive foaming dur-
ing the main wash.
Probably too much detergent
was used.
It may be necessary to re-
duce the amount of
detergent used. Follow the
detergent manufacturer's
recommendations.
Water is running out
from under the wash-
ing machine.
The screw connection on the
inlet hose is leaking.
Screw the inlet hose firmly in
place.
The drain hose is leaking.
Check the drain hose and
replace it if necessary.
The drain pump cover is not
correctly closed.
Close cover correctly.
Washing is trapped in the
door.
Stop the programme and re-
move the washing caught in
the door. Restart the pro-
gramme.
The emergency drain hose is
not correctly sealed or is
leaking.
Seal the emergency drain
hose correctly (see section
“Carrying Out an Emergency
Emptying Operation”). Call
your local AEG Customer
Service Centre if the emer-
gency drain hose leaks.
