4 System Function
4.1 Description of Sequence Control
As soon as the control assembly of the Protect PV.250 is supplied
with voltage, sequence control starts.
Initially, the load interrupter switch Q4 remains open. Once the ini-
tialisation phase is complete and if no deactivating and self-
acknowledging faults are pending, the load interrupter switch Q4 is
closed in the "Waiting for feed conditions" status. During subse-
quent operation, the switch is only opened by deactivating faults
(see Chapter 5).
The inverter output contactor K7 remains open initially. The con-
tactor is switched by sequence control.
The sequence control statuses are shown in graphic format in
Fig. 5.

4.1.1 The "Off" Status
The Protect PV.250 has been switched off logically via the DOU or
the master control unit.
The unit is running without faults, the monitoring systems are not
activated.
In this status, no power is fed into the mains.
Possible change of status:
The status can be switched from "OFF" to "Waiting for feed condi-
tions" by switching the unit on via the DOU and the master control
unit.
