Please use the "ping" command to test that the COM server
can be reached in the network.

instructions as well as the manual on the CD-ROM.
6.2.8 Configuration of the Virtual COM Port
To install the virtual COM port on your operating system, you have
to start the CD-ROM in the computer in question.
Please select the "Com Server" button in the top line of the
main window of the product CD. The reference to the COM
redirection appears, amongst other items.
Please click the corresponding "Browse" button. A new dialog
box appears with the prompt to select the operating system.
Click the plus sign on the left of the window in order to be able
to run this operation.
Now select your operating system and perform the installation
using the "Install" button.
Following installation, the dialog box for the virtual COM port ap-
pears with the IP address of the COM server. Here, you can
change or adapt the name of the COM port using the "Numbering"
button. Once you click "OK", the virtual COM port is installed.
