Attention: Owing to great variations in the
level of body fat it is diffi cult to obtain a
reference value. On average for adult men
the best time for the measurement is between
6 and 8 o‘clock p.m. because the level of
body fat is very constant during this period!
Setting the time and date
After installing
the batteries
into the display,
the time, date,
CLOCK and the
current ambient
temperature will
be appear in the display (Fig. 4). Set the time
as described below:
Push the SET button to set the time. The
year will first start to flash on the display.
Push either the P/ or ATH/ button. If you
hold down the P/ or ATH/ button a quick
run will start. Pushing the SET button will
switch the display to the next setting. Use the
P/ and ATH/ buttons to set the correct
month, day, hours and minutes. Confirm your
last setting with the SET button and the tem-
perature in °C or °F will appear. Pushing the
UNIT button will change the display from °C
to °F and vice versa.
The data must be set again if the batteries
are removed from the display or if they must
be replaced.
Putting into service
Simple Weighing Function
Position the balance on a hard, flat surface
(avoid carpets). Uneven floors lead to imprecise
readings.
1. Switch the scale on by applying slight
pressure on the glass surface with your
foot or toes. A red indicator lamp lights up
thereby signalling that the device is still not
ready for use. A green indicator lamp indi-
cates that the scale is ready for use.
Switch the display on by pushing the
MODE button. “8888”, WT-FAT, HELO
and WT (weight) will appear in the display.
