ENGLISH 1. 3 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS In the interest of your safety and to ensure the correct use, before installing and first using the appliance, read this user manual carefully, including its hints and warnings. To avoid unnecessary mistakes and accidents, it is important to ensure that all people using the appliance are thoroughly familiar with its operation and safety features.

Any electrical component (power cord, plug, compressor) must be replaced by a certified service agent or qualified service personnel to avoid hazard. 1. • • • • Power cord must not be lengthened. 2. Make sure that the power plug is not squashed or damaged by the back of the appliance. A squashed or damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire. 3. Make sure that you can come to the mains plug of the appliance. 4. Do not pull the mains cable. 5.
ENGLISH • The appliance must not be located close to radiators or cookers. • Make sure that the mains plug is accessible after the installation of the appliance. • Connect to potable water supply only (If a water connection is foreseen). 5 ozone layer, in either its refrigerant circuit or insulation materials. www.aeg.com 2.2 Switching off the fridge 2.6 Temperature indicators Keep ON/OFF switch pressed for more than 5 seconds. 2. A countdown on the temperature indicator, from -3 -2 -1 will be shown. When “1” appears the fridge is turned off. The temperature indicator switches off. The Pilot light switches off. The temperature indicators show several information: • During normal operation, the temperature currently set for fridge and freezer are displayed.
ENGLISH If the function is activated automatically the DYNAMICAIR indicator is not shown (refer to "Daily use"). The activation of the DYNAMICAIR function increases the energy consumption. 2.9 COOLMATIC function The COOLMATIC function is suitable for quick cooling of large quantities of goods in the refrigerator. To activate the function, do these steps: 1. Press the Fridge Temperature - button (several times if necessary) until the word “SC” appears in the display.

ENGLISH 9 3.9 Positioning the sliding box The sliding box can be placed at different heights. Do make these adjustments proceed as follow: 1. lift the shelf with the sliding box upwards and out of the holders in the door 2. remove the retaining bracket out of the guide under the shelf 3. Reverse the above operation to insert the sliding box at a different height. 3.
www.aeg.com 4.3 Hints for refrigeration Useful hints: Meat (all types) : wrap in polythene bags and place on the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer. For safety, store in this way only one or two days at the most. Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc.: these should be covered and may be placed on any shelf. Fruits and vegetables: these should be thoroughly cleaned and placed in the special drawer(s) provided. When in contact, lemon juice can discolor the plastic parts of your fridge.
ENGLISH 5.1 Periodic cleaning The equipment has to be cleaned regularly: • clean the inside and accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap. • regularly check the door seals and wipe clean to ensure they are clean and free from debris. • rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not pull, move or damage any pipes and/or cables inside the cabinet.
www.aeg.com To remove the frost, follow the instructions below: 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Remove any stored food, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a cool place. CAUTION! Do not touch frozen goods with wet hands. Hands can freeze to the goods. 3. Leave the door open and insert the plastic scraper in the appropriate seating at the bottom centre, placing a basin underneath to collect the defrost water.
ENGLISH 13 6. WHAT TO DO IF… WARNING! Before troubleshooting, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. Only a qualified electrician or competent person must do the troubleshooting that is not in this manual. Only service is allowed to replace the lighting device. Contact your Service Center. If necessary, adjust the door.
www.aeg.com 7.3 Door reversibility The door of the appliance opens to the right. If you want to open the door to the left, do these steps before you install the appliance: • Loosen the upper pin and remove the spacer. • Remove the upper pin and the upper door. • Unscrew the pins (B) and spacers (C). C B C • Remove the lower door. • Loosen the lower pin. On the opposite side: • Install the lower pin. • Install the lower door.
ENGLISH 17 7.4 Ventilation requirements 5 cm The airflow behind the appliance must be sufficient. min. 200 cm2 min. 200 cm2 7.5 Installing the appliance Do these steps. CAUTION! Make sure that the mains cable can move freely. If necessary cut the adhesive sealing strip and then apply it to the appliance as shown in figure. x x Drill the hinge cover A, as shown in figure. Apply the covers A and A1 (in the accessories bag) in to the middle hinge.
www.aeg.com 2 Install the appliance in the niche. Push the appliance in the direction of the arrow (1) until the upper gap cover stops against the kitchen furniture. Push the appliance in the direction of the arrow (2) against the cupboard on the opposite side of the hinge. 1 Adjust the appliance in the niche. Make sure that the distance between the appliance and the cupboard front-edge is 44 mm.
ENGLISH 19 Remove the correct part from the hinge cover (E). Make sure to remove the part DX, in the case of right hinge, SX in opposite case. Attach the covers (C, D) to the lugs and the hinge holes. Install the vent grille (B). Attach the hinge covers (E) to the hinge. C D E E B If the appliance must connect laterally to the kitchen furniture door: 1. Slacken the screws in fixing brackets (H). 2. Move the brackets (H). 3. Retighten the screws.

Install the part (Ha) on the inner side of the kitchen furniture. ca. 50 mm 90° 21 mm 90° ca. 50 mm 21 mm Push the part (Hc) on the part (Ha). Ha Hc Open the appliance door and the kitchen furniture door at an angle of 90°. Insert the small square (Hb) into guide (Ha). Put together the appliance door and the furniture door and mark the holes.
ENGLISH 21 Remove the brackets and mark a distance of 8 mm from the outer edge of the door where the nail must be fitted (K). 8 mm K Ha Place the small square on the guide again and fix it with the screws supplied. A luz indicadora do alarme pisca quando a temperatura é alcançada. É emitido o aviso acústico. Prima o botão de reiniciação do alarme para reiniciar o alarme. 2.2 Desligar o frigorífico 1. Mantenha o interruptor ON/OFF premido durante mais de 5 segundos. 2. Será apresentada uma contagem decrescente no indicador de temperatura de -3 -2 -1.

UTILIZAÇÃO DIÁRIA 3.1 Limpeza do interior Antes de utilizar o aparelho pela primeira vez, limpe o interior e todos os acessórios internos com água morna e sabão neutro de modo a remover o cheiro típico de um produto novo, de seguida seque minuciosamente. Não utilize detergentes ou pós abrasivos, pois estes danificam o acabamento. 3.

www.aeg.com 3.10 DYNAMICAIR O compartimento do frigorífico está equipado com um dispositivo que permite a refrigeração rápida dos alimentos e uma temperatura mais uniforme no compartimento. Este dispositivo activa-se automaticamente quando necessário, por exemplo, para uma recuperação rápida da temperatura após a abertura da porta ou quando a temperatura ambiente é demasiado elevada. Permite-lhe ligar o dispositivo manualmente quando necessário (consulte "Função DYNAMICAIR ").

CUIDADO Não toque nos alimentos congelados com as mãos molhadas. Poderia ficar com as mãos coladas aos alimentos. 3. Deixe a porta aberta e coloque o raspador de plástico no local adequado no fundo, ao centro, colocando uma bacia por baixo para recolher a água descongelada.

Aplique as tampas A e A1 (estão no saco de acessórios) na dobradiça do meio.

Empurre o aparelho na direcção da seta (2) contra o armário no lado oposto da dobradiça. 1 Ajuste o aparelho no nicho. Certifique-se de que a distância entre o aparelho e a extremidade dianteira do armário é 44 mm. A tampa da dobradiça inferior (está no saco de acessórios) garante que a distância entre o aparelho e o móvel da cozinha está correcta.

C D E E B Se for necessário ligar o aparelho lateralmente à porta de armário da cozinha: 1. Desaperte os parafusos nos suportes de fixação (H). 2. Mova os suportes (H). 3. Volte a apertar os parafusos.
