Cleaning heat exchanger filters
If the indicator clean base filters lights up, the heat exchanger fluff filters in the base
of the appliance must be cleaned, i.e. after each 5 drying cycles. Both filters are located
in the appliance base.
Water can collect in the filter housing therefore it is normal for the heat exchanger fluff
filters to become wet.
• Do not operate the tumble dryer without the fluff filters.
• Clogged filters cause higher energy consumption (drying cycle elongation) and tumble
dryer damage.
• A dirty heat pump can only be cleaned up with a costly process.
1. Open loading door
2. Open door in plinth: To do this, push the
release button on the bottom of the
door aperture and open the door in the
plinth to the left.
3. Pull filter housing out of the base by the
handle.
4. To clean the fluff filter: Remove filter
from filter housing push the pressure
points on the sides and pull the filter
frame up and out of the housing. Re-
move fluff from the fluff filter with a
moist hand.
