With proper care, this filter will last the life of your vehicle. This filter may be used in a stock machine, and no modifica-

tions will be required. However there are special installation instructions, so please follow the procedures outlined below

to ensure that the AEM

air filter seals properly.

1. Un-fasten the airbox clamps.

2. Remove the airbox lid from the vehicle.

3. Remove the stock air filter. (Fig. 1)

4. Wipe out any dirt or dust that may be inside the air filter housing.

5. Install the AEM

air filter into the airbox base. Make sure the contour of the air filter clears the ribs inside the airbox.

(Fig. 2).

NOTE: For 03-09 5.9L diesel applications, since there are no ribs in the airbox the filter will fit either way.

6. Press around the edges of the air filter to ensure that it is properly sealed.

7. Re-install the airbox lid and re-fasten the airbox clamps.
