4. CONFIGURATION SOFTWARE 
The  AEQ  FORUM  is  ready  for  use  once  the  mixer  inputs  and  outputs  have  been  properly 
connected. 
The  console  is  shipped  with  the  Audio  input  and  output  modules  as  requested  by  each 
customer. However, the name tags used for the channel audio inputs and outputs are generic 
(MIC1,  ANA  03,  DIG  05  ...)  and  routing  and  effects  programmed  are  AEQ  standard  that  are 
used  for  functional  testing  of  the  console,  whereas  these  settings  may  not  be  entirely  to  the 
preferences of the client. 
This equipment is delivered with a Configuration Software for Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7. 
This configuration  software  allows  the  user  to  modify  the original  configuration to  its  exact 
requirements at any time . 
The equipment factory settings for this unit are stored under the label of  "Default" and can be 
accessed through the "Snapshot Configuration" Programmable Configuration menu. Please 
refer to section 4.3.5 of this manual. 
Installation and first use. 
The software installs automatically. The installation wizard will guide you through the installation 
process. Once completed and the computer has been restarted, the icon for the application will 
appear on the desktop, a capital F framed in blue with the name of ForumSetup.exe. 
Icon AEQ FORUM Configuration Software 
Double-clicking the icon ForumSetup.exe, you will be invited to introduce  your user-name and 
password to access the  application. Only level 3 users and technical administrators have 
access to this application. 
User settings and password supplied by default are: 
Login: admin. 
Password: 1234 
You  may  modify  these  parameters  later  in  the section  Administration /  User Configuration. 
Please refer to section 4.1.2 of this manual.

After entering the correct user-name and password, the program shows the main-screen where 
you can access the different options. 
There are two main areas in this workspace: 
•  Left side of the screen area pull-down menus and sub-menus.
