Before You Begin
Please read all instructions thoroughly before installing your XM Roady Audio Adaptor.
Compatibility
The XM Roady Audio Adaptor was designed to work with the Delphi XM Roady receiver. The adaptor supplies
both the power supply and the audio output in a single, easy to install adaptor. Use of this adaptor with other
audio devices including the Delphi XM SKYFi is not recommended.
Installing the XM Roady Audio Adaptor
Insert the XM Roady Audio Adaptor into the vehicle’s 12V power outlet. Note that some vehicles require that the
ignition switch be turned on before power is supplied to the adaptor.
Note: A RED indicator light on the adaptor signals that the adaptor is receiving 12V power from your vehicle
and will remain on during normal operation.
Insert the right angle Power connector at the end of the XM Roady Audio Adaptor cable into the plug on the
Roady receiver identified by a 6V icon.

Roady receiver identified by a speaker icon.
Changing the Transmitting Frequency
The XM Roady Audio Adaptor allows you to change the XM Satellite Radio broadcast signal to an FM frequency
and output the sound to your vehicle radio via an FM station. You may experience some interference if a local
FM station is broadcasting at the same frequency. Try all eight available frequencies on your vehicle’s FM radio
to avoid using a channel that is receiving a good quality local FM signal. Once you have determined which
frequency is not being used by a local FM station, change your FM modulator frequency using the two switches
on the top edge of the adaptor. One switch toggles between the high band (107.xMHz) and the low band
(88.xMHz). The other switch has four frequency settings: xxx.1MHz, xxx.3MHz, xxx.5MHz, and xxx.7MHz. The
combination of the individual location of the two switches will result in one of eight available FM frequencies to
use. FM Frequencies: 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, 107.7
Note: The vehicle FM radio frequency should be set to the same value as the XM Roady Audio Adaptor
frequency.
Auto-On/Auto-Off Feature
The XM Roady Audio Adaptor will automatically switch on when an XM Satellite Radio signal is detected. The
XM Roady Audio Adaptor will also automatically switch off when the Roady is turned off.
Note: A GREEN indicator light on the adaptor is visible as long as there is an XMSatellite Radio signal
available from the receiver. There may be situations under normal use where the GREEN indicator light
remains on for a short period of time after the receiver is switched off.
Caution: When in highly-populated metro areas with a large number of FM stations, you may have difficulty
finding an available FM frequency on which to operate your XM Roady Audio Adaptor. This is not fault with XM
reception or with the XM Roady Audio Adaptor. In many instances your XM Roady Audio Adaptor may override
the FM broadcast signal.
