Measurement Guide

MEASURE UP!
Prior to purchasing a septic tank riser kit, there are key measurements to take into consideration. The primary
measurement will be the size of your opening(s) to ensure our kits are compatible. This measurement will either be the
diameter (circular openings) or a combination of length and width (square/rectangular openings). It’s important to remove
the existing cover(s) to gather an accurate measurement of the opening(s). Existing cover(s) may vary in size from the
actual opening. The final measurement is the height from the top of the septic tank to grade.
If you have and questions about which size will work please call us anytime at 877-254-7093 or email us at info@aero-
stream.com. We’ll confirm the correct model is selected as ordering the wrong model can be frustrating.
Tools Required:
Probing Tool
Shovel
Measuring Tape
Gloves and Safety Glasses
Step 1: Locate septic tank
Using a probing tool, gently poke around the area of the septic tank until you locate the tank. A septic tank can be buried
anywhere from a few inches to several feet below ground.
WARNING: Underground power and additional utility lines can pose a danger. If you have any concerns regarding
underground lines on your property, reach out to your local Diggers Hotline.
Step 2: Remove existing cover(s)
Excavate the dirt and rock to expose and remove all covers. Clear an area slightly larger than the actual opening to
ensure adequate room to work while providing accurate measurements.
Step 3: Take measurements.
Complete measurements “A” and “B” as noted in figures below. The size of the opening(s) must be less than or equal to
