o Tx Only – Transmit data from
serial B to designated destination

o Both (Rx and Tx) – Radio will
push data from its Serial B to an
external node with the destination
IP address and IP Port configured
at GUI. The radio will also receive
data from receive port and send
that data to its Serial B.

Serial Flow Control
Configuration
Serial Baud Rate – A drop down menu
with a selection of baud rates available.
Serial Raw Mode
Enable – Enables Raw mode and
serial B will process serial input in
non-canonical mode.
Disable – Serial B will be set in
canonical mode. This will enable line
processing mode and each line
designated by a new line. The entire
line will be wrapped into a UDP packet
and then sent across the RF link.
Destination Port – Ability to set the port
that the BS serial data is being transmitted
on.
Receive Port – Ability to set the port that
the BS is receiving serial data on.
Destination IP Addr – Ability to set the
Radio’s IP address that the serial data is
being transmitted to and received from.
Raw Serial mode processing
configurations
Raw Buffer – in bytes, the maximum is
255 bytes.
Raw Timeout ( deciseconds) - in
tenths of seconds, maximum is 255
deciseconds.
When in Raw mode the user can
configure the serial to buffer bytes and to
be more efficient than sending just one
character, below are the valid
configurations.
Raw Buffer > 0 Raw and Timeout > 0
– The serial will buffer the bytes until
the first condition is met and then the
data will be packaged into a UDP
