WET COAT TREE MARKING PAINT
PRODUCT NUMBERS:
I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Description: Aervoe Wet Coat is a fast-drying paint
with a high percentage of solids and pigments. Specially
formulated for use in wet and/or rainy conditions.
Penetrates deep into pores of lumber. Mixes with the
water (from the wet wood) and allows paint to penetrate
the surface. As the solvents evaporate from the paint,
the resin forms a lm. While this lm is formed, Wet
Coat displaces the remaining moisture as it penetrates
and adheres to the wood. A hi-visibility mark that will
withstand subsequent and continued immersion in water
is left behind.
Benets: Available in ve brilliant colors that are suitable
for long-term and short-term marking. Preferred for use
on all wet logs and lumber, and will provide long-lasting
identication on natural bark or cut lumber.
Application: In either wet or dry conditions, apply directly
to bark, trees, cut wood, railroad ties, logs, pulpwood and
nished lumber for grade and select cut marking.
Directions: Shake can for 1 to 2 minutes after rattle of
agitator ball is heard and intermittently during use. Select
either the white spray nozzle, designed for spotting or
banding, or the red spray nozzle, designed for numbering
or writing, and place into valve seat. Align sprayhead with
black mark on valve rim to ensure complete evacuation of
contents. Hold can 10 to 12 inches from the surface and
apply in even strokes. Re-coating is not required. For
best results, use at temperatures between 50° and 90°F
(10° and 32°C). In extremely cold weather, warm aerosol
prior to use for best results (though not over 120°F/49°C).
Clear spray tip after each use by turning can upside down
and spraying for 2 to 3 seconds.
