Routes of entry include: eye, skin, ingeson and inhalaon.
Eye Contact: Rinse cauously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do.
Connue rinsing. If, eye irritaon persists: Get medical advice.
Skin Contact: Wash with water for 15 minutes. If irritaon occurs get medical aenon. Take off contaminated
clothing and wash it before reuse.
Ingeson: Drink large amounts of water. Do not i
nduce voming. If paent feels unwell seek medical aenon.
Inhalaon: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, get medical aenon.

and oxides of sulfur.

ng apparatus and proper protecve clothing should be worn when fighng chemical fires.
Personal precauons: Depending on extent of release, consider the need for fire fighters/emergency responders
with adequate personal protecve equipment for cleaning up.
Do not eat, drink or smoke while cleaning up. Ensure to protect skin and eyes from accidental exposure during
clean-up. Wear protecve cl
othing, safety glasses and gloves. Use a dust mask if dust or fine parcles are
present. Ensure there is adequate venlaon. Avoid all sources of ignion, hot surfaces and open flames.
Environmental precauons: Prevent spills from entering storm sewers or drains and contact with soil.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Eliminate all ignion sources. For large spills, shovel
up and transfer to a closabl
e disposal container (i.e. plasc lined fiber drum) and dispose of at an appropriate
waste disposal facility in accordance with current applicable laws and regulaons. For small spills use a broom
and sweep into an appropriate disposal container. All spill areas should be flushed with water and dried to ensure
no residue is le behind.
