Routes of entry include: eye, skin, ingestion and inhalation. 
Eye Contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. 
Continue rinsing. If, eye irritation persists: Get medical advice. 
Skin Contact:  Wash with water for 15 minutes. If irritation occurs get medical attention. Take off contaminated 
clothing and wash it before reuse. 
Ingestion: Drink large amounts of water. Do not induce vomiting.  If patient feels unwell seek medical attention. 
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, get medical attention. 
Delayed Effects: None known. 
Extinguishing media: Water spray, all-purpose dry chemical, CO
2
Hazardous Components of Combustion: Thermal decomposition may produce carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, 
and oxides of sulfur. 
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: 
Self-Contained breathing apparatus and proper protective clothing should be worn when fighting chemical fires. 
Personal precautions: Depending on extent of release, consider the need for fire fighters/emergency responders 
with adequate personal protective equipment for cleaning up. 
Do not eat, drink or smoke while cleaning up. Ensure to protect skin and eyes from accidental exposure during 
clean-up. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and gloves. Use a dust mask if dust or fine particles are 
present. Ensure there is adequate ventilation. Avoid all sources of ignition, hot surfaces and open flames. 
Environmental precautions: Prevent spills from entering storm sewers or drains and contact with soil. 
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Eliminate all ignition sources. For large spills, shovel 
up and transfer to a closable disposal container (i.e. plastic lined fiber drum) and dispose of at an appropriate 
waste disposal facility in accordance with current applicable laws and regulations. For small spills use a broom 
and sweep into an appropriate disposal container. All spill areas should be flushed with water and dried to ensure 
no residue is left behind.
