CHAPTER 1 – OVER VIEW OF THE BREEZE S (MAIN FEATURES) Congratulations on choosing the Breeze S as your electrically powered Scooter. The Breeze S is a scooter for Elderly and Disabled persons, Fun and Sport. Scooter classification: Class C with according to EN12184. The Breeze S is designed to a maximum occupant mass of 160Kg (352lbs) with 3 Wheels and200Kg (440lbs) with 4 Wheels.
CHAPTER 2 – SAFETY SYMBOLS FOR BREEZE S WARNING! An authorized supplier or qualified technician must perform the initial setup of this scooter and must perform all of the procedures in this manual. The symbols below are used throughout this owner's manual and on the scooter to identify warnings and important information. It is very important for you to read them and understand them completely. WARNING! Indicates a potentially hazardous condition / situation.
Never remove any of the Breeze S safety parts like Fenders, Plastic Covers or Emergency Brake lever. Never remove any of the Warnings Labels. If any of the Warning labels is removed, got wear, painted etc. ask your dealer to supply you a new labels. Never put your hands, fingers, legs into any moving parts or under any protection cover, since moving parts are under covers and heated surfaces as well.
The seat weight is 15 Kg (33lbs). Each battery weight 14 Kg (31lbs) and more. Be careful when lifting the seat and the batteries. See instruction for lifting in Chapter 3: Maintenance and Chapter 5: Repair and troubleshooting. Keep lifting using your Knees/legs and not loading your Back. If the Breeze S is involved in any kind of an accidents that parts are damaged, it is necessary to check the vehicle by qualified technician before go on using it. Batteries contain lead and acid which is very corrosive.
Do not release the Manual or Electrical Release Lever of the Electromagnetic Brake when the Breeze S is on a slope. When on any sort of an incline or decline, never place the Breeze S scooter in freewheel mode while seated on it or standing next to it. The lights of the Breeze S should be on when visibility is restricted, either by day or by night. Since your seat upholstery is Fire resistant, do not cover or replace with other upholstery than an original one.
Explosive conditions exist! Disposal and recycling-Contact your authorized Provider for information on proper disposal of your Breeze S product and its packaging. Wear safety glosses. Contains Lead. Battery charger for indoor use only. Flammable material. Do not expose to open flame. At the rear of the Breeze S you can find the electromagnetic brake manual release lever. When using this lever be careful not to touch the internal surface of the motor, they could be very hot and cause injure.
CHAPTER 2 – SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR BREEZE S GENERAL MANDATORY! Do not operate your new Breeze S scooter for the first time without completely reading and understanding this owner’s manual. Your Breeze S is a state-of-the-art life-enhancement device designed to increase mobility. We provide you an extensive variety of products to best fit the individual needs of the user.
PRE-RIDE SAFETY CHECK Get to know the feel of your Breeze S Scooter and its capabilities. We recommends that you perform a safety check before each use to make sure your Breeze S Scooter operates smoothly and safely. Perform the following inspections prior to using your scooter: Check for proper tire inflation. Maintain but do not exceed the psi/bar/kPa air pressure rating indicated on each tire if equipped with pneumatic tires. Check all electrical connections.
INCLINE INFORMATION More and more buildings have ramps with specified degrees of inclination, designed for easy and safe access. Some ramps may have turning switchbacks (180-degree turns) that require you to have good cornering skills on your Breeze S scooter. Proceed with extreme caution as you approach the downgrade of a ramp or incline. Take wide swings with your Breeze S scooter around any tight corners.
Handicap public access ramps are not subject to government regulation in all countries, and therefore do not necessarily share the same standard percent of slope. Other inclines may be natural or, if man-made, are not designed specifically for Breeze S Scooters. Figure A illustrates your Breeze S Scooter’s stability and its ability to climb grades under various weight loads and under controlled testing conditions.
WARNING! When cornering sharply, reduce your speed and maintain a stable center of gravity. When using your Breeze S scooter at higher speeds, do not corner sharply. This greatly reduces the possibility of a tip or fall. Always exercise your senses when cornering. BRAKING INFORMATION Your Breeze S scooter is equipped with these powerful brake systems: Regenerative: Uses electricity to rapidly slow the vehicle when the throttle control lever returns to the centre/stop position.
INCLEMENT WEATHER PRECAUTIONS Exposure of your Breeze S Scooter to inclement weather conditions should be avoided whenever possible. If suddenly caught up in rain, snow, severe cold or heat while operating your Breeze S Scooter, proceed to shelter at the earliest opportunity. Thoroughly dry your Breeze S Scooter before storing, charging, or operating your Breeze S Scooter.
STAIRS AND ESCALATORS Breeze S scooters are not designed to travel up or down stairs or escalators. Always use an elevator. WARNING! Do not use your Breeze S scooter to negotiate steps or escalators. DOORS Determine if the door opens toward or away from you. Use your hand to turn the knob or push the handle or push-bar. Drive your Breeze S Scooter gently and slowly forward to push the door open. Or drive your Breeze S Scooter gently and slowly rearwards to pull the door open.
NOTE: If you encounter a damaged or cracked battery, immediately enclose it in a plastic bag and contact your local waste disposal agency or authorized Breeze S Provider for instructions on disposal and battery recycling, which is our recommended course of action. MOTOR VEHICLE TRANSPORT Do not remain seated in your Breeze S scooter while traveling in a motor vehicle.
cause the Breeze S scooter to tip, resulting in a fall from the Breeze S scooter and/or personal injury. WARNING! Avoid putting all of your weight on the floorboard. Such use may cause the Breeze S scooter to tip. REACHING AND BENDING Avoid reaching or bending while driving your Breeze S Scooter. Bending forward creates the risk of accidental throttle control lever contact. Bending to the side while seated creates the risk of tipping.
ELECTROMAGNETIC AND RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE (EMI/RFI) WARNING! Laboratory tests have shown that electromagnetic and radio frequency waves can have an adverse affect on the performance of electrically-powered mobility vehicles.

Your Breeze S is designed for both hand operation, But it is delivered to you with right-hand controls. (Left-hands controls can be setup by your dealer).
CHAPTER 4 – ADJUSTMENTS INSTRUCTIONS (Reference numbers refer to the figures #4 and #5) Adjusting the Adjust the Angle of tiller as follows: Tiller angle (1.7) Release the Handlebars Adjusting Lever (1.10), by pushing the lever down. Release the lever at the desired place. Adjusting of the Tiller height can be adjusted by technician about 40mm. Tiller Height Seating into the Breeze S Before driving the Breeze S make sure that the Charging Plug is disconnected from the Charging Socket (1.12).
CHAPTER 5 – OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 5.1 GENERAL Figure 6 (Numbers in the table refers to figure no.6 and figure no.7) Key Switch (1.11) Automatic Shut Off Adjusting the Hand Brake Speed Operating Lever and Manual Hand Brake Signaling The Breeze S has a Main Key Switch (1.11) - located at the top of the Tiller Box (1). The Main Key Switch has two positions: “OFF” - The Breeze S cannot be driven and the Electromagnetic Brake is locked. “ON” - Power is supplied to the Breeze S.
Horn/Buzzer operate respectively. A warning buzzer may also be sounds (in certain models only and subject to local ordinances). Push one of the 2 Buttons (1.9) to activate the buzzer. The buzzer sounds automatically under the following conditions (subject to change where prohibited by law): 1. When reversing. 2. When operating the “Turn Signal” (Right or Left). Remark: It is possible to change the Buzzer Functioning by changing a Dip Switch in the front Board .This needs to be made by a trained technician.
5.2 LCD DISPLAY USE Figure 7 (Numbers in the table refers to figure 6 & figure no. 7) LCD Display When driving and operating the Breeze, all the needed information is displayed on the LCD screen (1.1). See details below. Battery Status Indicator The Battery Capacity Indicator (5.5) in the LCD screen, shows you the remaining capacity of the batteries. Like in cars the Batteries indicator is not absolute accurate, but will help you from running out of fuel.
Blinkers indicators When the blinkers are ON, signs will be lit (5.3 and / or 5.4). Half speed indicator When the Half Speed switch (1.2) is at Half Speed position, a sign of "1/2" is lit (5.11). Alarm indicator When there is one of the follows conditions: Motor Overheated, Panic Brake was operated or Manual release brake is in OPEN position or electric EMB is opened, the Alarm indicator will be lit (5.13). The LCD screen digital area will show the speed of the scooter. (5.12).
5.3 DRIVING AND GENERAL USE Climbing an Obstacle Driving on slopes and Turns Pre-use Controller Programming Performance check To climb an Obstacle drive the Breeze S forward, toward the Obstacle. Drive until that the front wheel is touching the obstacle and than squeeze the lever speed, keeping the direction. Before making sharp turns, and especially on slopes, reduce the Breeze S speed to minimum to prevent side roll-over. The Breeze S is able to go up slope higher than the recommended safe slope.

Make a check of all the buttons functions on the handlebar. 6. Switch off the main key switch. Your Breeze S is now ready to drive. The user should know his weight and all other loads are lower than the maximum of 160 Kg (352 lbs) / 200 Kg (440 lbs) depend on the model. If not sure it should be measured.
CHAPTER 6 – CHARGING Read Charger’s manual before using the charger. Warning: If you use a different charger, ask your dealer for instructions. CHARGING BATTERIES (See figure10) 1. Insert first the Charging Plug (8) to the Charging Socket (9) located at the right side of the tiller box. 2. Plug the power cord (10) of the charger into a wall outlet (11). 3.
CHAPTER 7 – MAINTENANCE Note: 1. Maintenance Manual is available for trained technicians. 2. The numbers in parentheses refer to the parts illustrated in figure 11. Although the Breeze S requires minimal maintenance, do not neglect it. When servicing the Breeze S, make sure that it stands on a level surface and that the key is not inserted. Remark: For the periodic maintenance no special tooling is needed. (Numbers in the table refers to figure 9) Periodic Maintenance Check No.
Removing the Seat and the Batteries Cover(2) Replacing the Batteries Cover(2) Batteries Tires Cleaning Turn the Seat by using the lifting Lever (7.5) so that the Lever will point 45º Right or Left. The Seat can be removed only at this position. Remove the Seat (7): Hold the Seat in your two hands – one hand on the backrest and a second hand at the front lower part of the seat and lift the seat up from its pivot. Warning! The seat weight is ~15 Kg (33lbs).
Replace Batteries Remove batteries terminal insulating cap. Each time remove only one cap. Unsecure the screw of the wiring terminal from battery terminal using 10/13 mm key. Make sure your 10/13 mm key is not touching any other terminal or metal part. This can cause damage and Injure. After un securing all wires terminals, remove the batteries and install the new ones. Connect the wires as shown in below Figure 12. The connection Label is also located near the batteries.
CHAPTER 8 – TROUBLESHOOTING AND FAULT REPAIR The following table provides troubleshooting and repair instructions for symptoms encountered when operating the Breeze S. It presents the best ways to handle the faults. The table contains three columns: The Symptom - describes the functional problem that results from the fault. Probable Cause - lists all probable causes for the relevant symptom. The probable causes are listed logically by order of probability: the first one is the most probable.

Turn the key to “ON” position. Disconnect the Charging Plug from the Breeze S. Remove lever to engaged position .
CHAPTER 9 – EMI WARNING All types of electrically powered vehicles, such as powered wheelchairs and motorized scooters (in this text all types will be referred to as “powered vehicles”) may be susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI). This is from sources such as radio and TV stations, amateur radio (HAM) transmitters, two-way radios and cellular phones. The interference (from radio wave sources) can cause the powered vehicle to release its brakes, move by itself, or move in unintended direction.
Powered Vehicle Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Because EM energy rapidly becomes more intense as one moves closer to the transmitting antenna, the EM field from hand-held radio wave sources (transceivers) are of special concern. It is possible to unintentionally bring high levels of EM energy close to the powered vehicle’s control system while using these devices. This can affect powered vehicle movement and braking.
