
IsthedistancetheParaDymesystemislookingaheadwheninLineAcquisitionModeandgreaterthan

WhatdoestheTargetPointslideradjustandwhentoadjustit?

Theslideradjuststhelookahead,orTargetPointDistance,whenthevehicleisgreaterthan6to9feet
fromtheABLine.Increasingtheslider,makesthelookaheaddistancelongeranddecreasingitmakes
itshorter.

• IncreasethesliderwhenthevehicleisovershootingtheABLine,seefigure5.
• DecreasethesliderwhenthevehicleneedstogettotheABLinequickerorbemoreaggressive
atacquiringtheline.

NOTES:
1) Thisparameterhasaminimaleffectonhowthevehicleacquirestheline.ChangingMax
Curvaturehasamorenoticeableeffectonthevehicleacquiringtheline.Aruleofthumbisto
increaseTargetPointDistanceforhighspeedmachines,likesprayersorfloatersand/orlong
wheelbasemachines,like12feetorlonger.
2) Thisparameterhasamorenoticeableeffectontrackmachinesthanwheeledmachines.
