6.4.4.3WatchDogtimer
It is important in industrial applications that the control systems are rarely crashed, or are
capable of self‐reset if they are halted somehow. Watchdog function of automatic resetting
systemisthereforeprovidedinTREK510.Thereisatimerinsidethewatchdogfunction.User’s
APcouldinvoketheassociatedAPIsinWatchdogfunctiontostartthetimer,thenWatchdog
functionwouldrepeatthecountdownofthespecifiedperiodoftime torebootthesystemif
the user’s AP does not clear the timer in time periodically. The Watchdog function in the
TREK510provideseightdifferenttimeintervals:2seconds,5seconds,10seconds,30seconds,
60 seconds, 2 minutes, 5 minutes and 10 minutes. The “Enable" button is used to start the
Watchdog function. Press the "SoftReset" button will cause system warm boot, reloads all
drivers and refresh the newest registry settings. Press the “REBOOT” button will cause the
systemcoldboot.PressRTCTIMEstartbutton,itwillgetrealRTCvaluefromRTCchip.

6.4.4.4Miscellaneous
The Misc page provides several functions as described below. The "Registry" blockprovides
registrysaveandregistrycleanfunction. Pressing “Save” button,theregistrysettingswillbe
savedtopersistent storageasDISKONCHIP.Pressing“Clean”button, theregistry settingwill
returntodefaultsettings.The
“A.Sync”buttoninvokesActiveSynctothehostcomputer.The
Memory Management block will check if memory size needs to be allocated automatically
duringboot.Oncethisischecked,programmemorywillbeallocatedhalfsizeofmemory,and
storagememorywilloccupytherest.
