ThefeatureofVehiclePowerManagement(VPM)isprovidedforusersto
fulfillthespecialrequirementsonin‐vehicleapplications.

Ignitionon/off
Turnonthesystembyignition
Forthecasesofin‐vehicleapplications, ignitionsignalisoftenusedtoturnonor
shutdownsystem.WhenthesystemisinOFFstateandignitionisturnON,theVPM
controllerwillcountd o wnON_DELAY;onceitcountstozero,thesystemwillbeturnon.
Shutdownthesystembyignition
Whenthesystemispoweredonandignitionisturnoff,theOFF_EVENT_DELAYwillstart
tocountdown.Duringthisstage,iftheignitionisbacktoON,VPMcontrollerwill stop
countdownandresettheOFF_EVENT_DELAYvalue.IfOFF_EVENT_DELAYiskeeping
countingtozero,VPMcontrollerwillsendaevent
(powerbuttonpress)tothesystem
andstarttocountHARD_OFF_DELAY.Theapplication programscouldwatchthiseventto
dopre‐definedtasks,likestoringth edataandpreparingtoturnoffsystem.
Oncegoinginto HARD_OFF_DELAYstage,thisprocesswillbeirreversible.Andif
HARD_OFF_DELAYcountstozero,the
systempowerwillbecutoffabrupt ly.

Lowbatteryprotection
Toavoiddrainingoutthecarbattery,low‐batteryprotectionisinvolvedtoensurethe
carbatteryiscapabletostartthevehicle.WhenthesystemisON,VPMcontrollerwill
monitorthecarbatteryvoltage.Ifthebatteryvoltageislowerthanaprogrammable
threshold(LOW_THRESHOLD),VPMcontrollerwillgo
intoLOW_DELAYstageandstart
tocountdown.
