Using the Agilent 83433A
Front-Panel Features
WAVELENGTH ADJUST ENABLE
Toggles between preset laser wavelength and
wavelength adjust mode. (Light turns on to indi-
cate you can adjust the setting using the knob.).
OPTICAL OUT
Provides the modulated optical output for the
instrument. A universal adapter is used that can
be removed and replaced with different adapters
as needed (refer to “Front-Panel Fiber-Optic
Adapters” on page 3-4).
CLASS IIIB INTERNAL LASER OUT
Provides the internal laser output for the instru-
ment. Use only Panda PMF fiber with this out-
put. Use the supplied optical jumper cable to
connect this connector to the EXTERNAL
LASER INPUT.
EXTERNAL LASER INPUT
Enables connection of external lasers with
Panda PMF output connectors to the internal
optical modulator.
LOW FREQUENCY
MODULATION INPUT
BNC connector which allows direct, low-fre-
quency modulation of the internal laser.
