System Verification and Performance Tests
Performance Tests
3. When the analyzer finishes the sweep, notice the mean value.
4. Convert the measuredlinear magnitude mean value to logmagnitude
using the following equation:
Power (dBm) = 20 x [log
10
(linear magnitude mean value)]
5. Write this calculated value on the performance test record.
6. If your analyzer does not have Option 006, this completes the test
port input noise floor level procedure. If you have Option 006 in your
analyzer, continue with the following procedures.
Port 3 Noise Floor Level from 3 GHz to 6 GHz
(IF BW = 3 kHz)
1. Press Start, 3, G/n, Stop, 6, G/n.
2. Press Sweep Setup, TRIGGER MENU, SINGLE.
3. When the analyzer finishes the sweep, notice the mean value that
appears on the analyzer display.
4. Convert the measuredlinear magnitude mean value to logmagnitude
using the following equation:
Power (dBm) = 20 x [log
10
(linear magnitude mean value)]
5. Write this calculated value on the performance test record.
Port 3 Channel Noise Floor Level from 3 GHZ to 6 GHz
(IF BW = 10 Hz)
1. Press Avg, IF BW, 10, x1 to change the IF bandwidth to 10 Hz.
2. Press Sweep Setup, TRIGGER MENU, SINGLE.
3. When the analyzer finishes the sweep, notice the mean value.
4. Convert the measuredlinear magnitude mean value to logmagnitude
using the following equation:
Power (dBm) = 20 x [log
10
(linear magnitude mean value)]
5. Write this calculated value on the performance test record.
