36.Connect an open to the test port cable adapter. Press .
37.Connect a short to the test port cable adapter. Press .

40.Remove the 50 Ω termination from the test port cable adapter. Connect the adapted test
port cable to the analyzer INPUT R. Press .

42.Press to set marker 1 and
marker 2 to 300 kHz and 2 MHz respectively.
43.Use the analyzer front panel knob to move marker 2 to the peak value between 300 kHz
and 2 MHz. Write the marker 2 reading on the performance test record under
“R Return Loss (A/B),” 300 kHz–2 MHz.
44.Press to set marker 1 and
marker 2 to 2 MHz and 1.3 GHz respectively.
45.Use the analyzer front panel knob to move marker 2 to the peak value between 2 MHz
and 1.3 GHz. Write the marker 2 reading on the performance test record under
“R Return Loss (B/R),” 2 MHz–1.3 GHz.
46.Press to set marker 1 and marker 2
to 1.3 GHz and 3 GHz respectively.
