Route Map view
The Route Map view shows current position and the route traveled on a map as data is
collected. Several layers of information can be displayed, including signal parameters
(selected via the Measurement Parameter view), survey markers, and notes. Basestation
locations, with site names and sector orientations, can also be plotted on the map when
linked to the appropriate cellsite naming database.
There are two types of route maps
The Route Map, used with a GPS navigator - included with the E6474A platform
The Indoor Route Map, used without a GPS navigator - supported by E6474A-030
(indoor measurement software license).
The following route map features can be switched on or off: Channel List, Zoom Buttons,
Current Position Buttons, Layer Buttons, Indoor Navigation, Map Scale, Compass, Status
Bar, Button Bar, and Color Scheme.
Layer Menu
The following layers are supported by the route map view, the properties of these layers
are accessed by right-clicking the associated button:
Cellsite - This shows the name and properties associated with the cell. A cellsite
database must be selected to show this layer.
Map Picture Layer - This shows the selected .bmp map.
Street Map Layer - This shows the selected .map or .mif map. Note that TAB files are
also supported through conversion to .mif format
User Notes - This shows notes that have been entered.
