11. [GPS] or [External Even Sec] GPS is the preferred time reference. If the sky
(and hence the satellites) is not visible from
the position of your analyzer, use External
Even Sec as the time reference. When using
the Even Second reference, the base station
timing is relative to itself.
12. On [PN Offset] select
Auto
or
Manual.
The test set defaults to Auto mode. The other
choice is Manual.
• In Auto mode the test set finds the PN
Offset and displays the value in the metrics
display at the bottom of the screen. The
Time Offset is derived from the PN Offset
that has been found.
• In Manual mode you must enter the PN
Offset, which appears in the metrics
display. The Time Offset is derived from
the entered PN Offset.
13. Connect to the base station.
