412 Chapter 15
W-CDMA Uplink Digital Modulation for Receiver Test
DPCH
This task teaches you how to set up a compressed frame.
1. Press
Mode Setup > Link Control > DPCH Rear Panel Setup > DPCH Output Signal Setup >
More (1 of 2) > Compressed Frame (RPS8).
This enables an output trigger signal at the rear panel EVENT 1 connector when the
compressed frame is transmitted.
2. Press
Mode Setup > Link Control > PhyCH Setup > Compressed Mode Setup > Comp Parameter
Setup
.
3. Set slot eight of the frame as the starting slot for the first transmission gap.
a. Move the cursor to highlight the TGSN field.
b. Press
8 > Enter.
This sets the first compressed frame to have eight slots of data with slot eight marking the
beginning of the first transmission gap.
4. Set the first transmission gap length which is expressed as a number of slots per frame(s).
a. Move the cursor to highlight the TGL1 field.
Transmission gap length 2
(TGL2)
Duration of the second transmission gap
within the transmission gap pattern.
Transmission gap duration
(TGD)
Duration of the starting slots of two
consecutive transmission gaps within a
transmission gap pattern.
Transmission gap pattern length 1
(TGPL1)
Duration of first transmission gap pattern.
Transmission gap pattern length 2
(TGPL2)
Duration of second transmission gap
pattern.
Transmission gap pattern support
(TGPS)
Enables/disables compressed frame
support.
Stop connection frame number
(Stop CFN)
CFN of the last radio frame.
Transmission gap pattern sequence identifier
(TGPSI)
Establishes a reference to the compressed
mode pattern sequence. (Only one TGPSI is
supported at this time.)
