Fixing Recorder Problems
The V24/V26 Series uses the M1116A and M1116B Recorder Modules to make hard-copy 
recordings of the patient data which is displayed on the screen. The method for 
troubleshooting is the same for either recorder: identify the physical or functional problem, 
then find it in the accompanying table and follow the corrective action that is recommended.

System thinks that door is 
open when it is not.
Module out of paper.
Defective door switch.
Insert new paper roll.
Replace door switch. Exchange module.
System thinks that the 
recorder is out of paper 
when it is not.
Paper-out sensor dirty or 
dusty.
Clean paper-out sensor.
Recorder not 
communicating with 
System.
Poor connection to the front-
end rack.
Only one recorder module 
may be used with each 
monitor.
System not configured

Too many modules
connected.
Unplug the module. Plug it back in and try it 
again in a few seconds. (Watch for the LED 
to flash.)
Remove one of the recorder modules.

Unplug the module. Plug it back in and try it

Poor print quality. Printhead dirty.

Clean the Printhead as described in Chapter 
2 of this manual.
Exchange the module.
Paper not feeding

Paper roll off center.
Dirty roller.

Clean roller.
