Charging a Battery
Only charge the battery when it is installed in the
analyzer.
Fully charge the battery before first
using the analyzer. This typically takes about
four hours.
1 Install the battery in the analyzer.
2 Attach the AC- DC adapter and switch on exter-
nal power.
3 The charge indicator lights, indicating that the
battery is charging. When the battery is fully
charged, the green charging indicator turns off.
During charging and discharging, the battery volt-
age, current, and temperature are monitored. If any
of the monitored conditions exceed their safety
limits, the battery will terminate any further
charge or discharge until the error condition is
corrected.
