Signal activity indicator When no input signal is detected the Trig indicator will be off, indicating that no measurement is possible. The gate time indicator flashes until the first measurement interval is complete.
Safety This instrument is Safety Class III according to IEC classification and has been designed to meet the requirements of EN61010-1 (Safety Requirements for Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control and Laboratory Use). This instrument has been tested in accordance with EN61010-1 and has been supplied in a safe condition. This instruction manual contains some information and warnings which have to be followed by the user to ensure safe operation and to retain the instrument in a safe condition.
Operation Power To fit or replace the battery, undo the battery cover screw and lift off the cover. Fit the battery snap, observing the correct polarity, insert the battery into the compartment and replace the cover. WARNING! To prevent shock hazard, all inputs must be removed before changing the battery. Turn the instrument on by sliding the power switch on the left-hand side of the instrument to ON. With no signal connected the display should show 0.
Socket B is used for frequency measurements in the range of 80MHz to 3000MHz. The input impedance is nominally 50Ω. The signal is diode clipped with inputs over 350mV rms. Ideally, the signal being measured should have a 50Ω source impedance to avoid standing waves which could give spurious results. The input cable should be kept as short as possible and 50Ω coaxial cable should be used. Both inputs are protected against accidental connection of mains voltage up to 250V rms at 50/60Hz.

Fonctionnement Puissance Pour installer ou remplacer la pile, dévisser le couvercle des piles et le retirer. Mettre le boîtier des piles en respectant la polarité indiquée sur celui-ci, mettre la pile dans le compartiment et remettre le couvercle. ATTENTION! Pour éviter tout danger de choc électrique toutes les entrées doivent être déconnectées avant de changer la pile. Mettre l'instrument sous tension en faisant glisser l'interrupteur situé sur le côté gauche de l'instrument sur ON.
Avec les ondes d'impulsions le rapport repère – espace ne devra pas dépasser 90%, et la largeur d'impulsion minimum devra être supérieure à 3ns. Un filtre basse fréquence avec une fréquence de coupure de 50 kHz peut être choisi en appuyant sur FILTER. Le message FILT ON s'affiche temporairement à l'écran et le voyant lumineux Filt s'allume ; appuyer sur FILTER une seconde fois met le filtre hors tension (l'affichage indique temporairement FILT OFF et le voyant lumineux Filt s'éteint).

Accendere lo strumento facendo scorrere l'interruttore di accensione a sinistra dello strumento sulla posizione ON.
Un filtro passa-basso con una frequenza d'interruzione di 50 KHz può essere selezionato premendo il tasto FILTER. Il messaggio FILT ON viene mostrato brevemente sullo schermo e si accende la spia Filt. Premere un'altra volta FILTER per disattivare il filtro (nello schermo viene brevemente mostrato FILT OFF e la spia Filt si spegne). Usare il filtro con segnali a bassa frequenza e grande larghezza. Functionamiento Alimentación Para colocar o reemplazar la pila, destornillar la tapa de la pila y retirarla. Ubicar el conectador de la pila teniendo en cuenta la polaridad correcta, colocar la pila en su compartimiento y volver a tapar. ¡ADVERTENCIA! Para evitar choques eléctricos se deben retirar todas las entradas antes de cambiar la pila. Un filtro para paso de bajas frecuencias con una frecuencia terminal de 50kHz puede elegirse presionando la tecla FILTER. El mensaje FILT ON aparece brevemente en pantalla y el indicador Filt se ilumina; al pulsar FILTER por segunda vez, el fitro se desconecta (la pantalla muestra brevemente FILT OFF y el indicador Filt se apaga).
