SAFETY RULES READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. 1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has been muted off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning. 2. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code “EXPANSION 70-1999” and local electrical codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician. 3. INSTALLING THE FAN Tools Required: Phillips screw driver; slotted screw driver; stepladder; wire cutters; electrical tape. MOUNTING OPTIONS If there Isn't an existing mounting box, then read the following Instructions. Disconnect the power by removing fuses or muting off circuit breakers. Secure the outlet box directly to the bulling structure. Use appropriate fasteners and building materials. The outlet box and Its support must be able to fully support the moving weight of the fan (at East 50 Ibsen.
HANGING THE FAN WARNING: All of the parts, hardware and components such as the hanger bracket and hanger ball have been provided for your safety and the proper installation of your new ceiling fan. The use of other parts, hardware or components not supplied by Ire with the fan will void the Ire Warranty. REMEMBER to tum off the power. Follow the steps below to hang your fan properly: Step 1.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock be sure electricity is muted off at the main fuse or breaker box before wiring. NOTE: This remote control unit is equipped with 16 code combinations to prevent possible interference from or to other remote units. The frequency switches on your receiver and remote control have been preset at the factory. Please recheck to make sure the switches on the remote control and the receiver are set to the same position (Fig. 13).
INSTALLING THE CANOPY AND CANOPY COVER Step 1. Remove 1 of the 2 screws from the bottom of the hanger bracket and loosen the other one half a tum from the screw head. (Fig. 16) Step 2. Slide the canopy up towards the hanger bracket and place the key hole on the canopy over the screw on the hanger bracket, tum canopy until it locks in place at the narrow section of the key holes. Step 3. Align the circular hole on canopy with the remaining hole on the hanger bracket, secure by tightening the two set screws.
INSTALLING THE FLYWHEEL Tighten the flywheel root the bottom of fan motor assembly by using the five flywheel screws. (Fig.17) Va FAN MOTOR ASSEMBLY FIG.
INSTALLING THE FAN BLADES Attach the fan blade to the flywheel by using the two blade screws and the two metal washers. Tighten all screws and washers securely. Repeat same process for the other four blades. (Fig.18) NOTE: When Installing the blades, ensure the sides with “THIS SIDE UP” face the ceiling. INSTALLING THE 21W LED ASSEMBLY Step 1. While holding the 21W LED assembly under your fan, firmly snap the wire connection plugs together. Step 2. Attach the 21W LED assembly to the switch box by twisting tightly. OPERATING THE REMOTE CONTROL Remote Control only: Install a A23 12 volt battery (included). (Fig. 20) To prevent damage to transmitter remove the battery if not used for long periods of time. WARNING: Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Batteries are to be inserted with the comet polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product. DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN FIRE. BATTERIES MAY EXPLODE OR LEAK. Restore Power to Selling Fan. Hi, MED, LOW buttons: Sets the fan speed.
CARE OF YOUR FAN Here are some suggestions to help maintain your fan. 1. Because of the fan's natural movement some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. (it is not necessary to remove fan from the ceiling). 2. Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the year. CAUTION: many common household cleaning products contain chemicals that could damage the finish of your fan.
TROUBLESHOOTING SYMPTOM SOLUTION Fan will not start + Check to make sure the wall switch is muted on. + Check circuit fuses or breakers. + Caution! Make sure the power Is turned off before performing the following steps. +» Remove canopy and check wire connections. + Check wall control transmitter connections (If applicable). + Note: Fan must be installed at a maximum distance of 40 feet from the transmitting unit for proper signal transmission between the transmitting unit and the fan's receiving unit.
