DHCP

server

Click

the

This

page

allows

configuration

of

the

DHCP

server

function.

The

DHCP

server

function,

accessible

only

from

the

Local

LAN

port,

is

used

for

initial

configuration

of

the

management

function.

The

default

factory

setting

for

the

DHCP

server

function

is

enabled.

You

can

disable

the

DHCP

server function,

if

you

wish.

You

can

also

set

the

range

of

address

to

be

assigned.

WNS

server:

The

WNS

(Windows

Internet

Naming

Service)

server

is

used

for

name

resolution.

It

is

similar

in

function

to

DNS.

It

allows

you

to

search

for

resources

by

computer

name

instead

of

IP

address

Lease

period

is

for

the

DHCP

server

function.

The

lease

times

you

can

select

are:

1

hour,

2

hours,

1

day,

2

days,

or

1

week.
