2 Basic setup and operation
Rotate

Using the onscreen keypad
You can type on the device using the touchscreen keypad. To access the onscreen keypad,
tap in a text field. To hide the keypad, tap X in the top right corner of the keypad.
Using a USB or Bluetooth mouse and keyboard
You can attach a physical keyboard, mouse and other peripherals to your device via USB
or Bluetooth wireless technology. For more information see Connecting to accessories
and other devices, page 43.
Using the EMR stylus
Take notes, draw, navigate, and mark up documents directly on the screen using the EMR
stylus. The EMR stylus works by wireless transfer, conversion, and detection of
electromagnetic waves for use on touch screens.
The EMR stylus is designed to work with the tablet automatically; no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
connection is required. The stylus works once it is close to the touchscreen.
NOTE When using the EMR stylus, the screen will not respond to finger touch.
Tethering and storing the stylus
Tether the EMR stylus to any of the four corners of the back of the tablet. Store the stylus in
the stylus holder.
