The SDTA includes lightning arrestors to protect the customer's local network from
lightning. The SDTA is connected to a standard power outlet (110-240vAC). Units
are generally installed indoors in a communications cabinet or mounted on a wall.
An SDTA can also be placed on a table or shelf next to the customer's
communications equipment.
