LOCKING REFRIGERANT CAPS
Unprotected Protected
• Protect children.
• Protect homeowners from liability.
• Protect refrigerant levels and
A/C system efficiency.
• Simple screw-on
application.
Inhalant Abuse. Breathing in vapor or gases to
reach a high or altered state of mind, commonly
called Huffing, Sniffing, Bagging
or Dusting”. Inhalants are legal
and found in everyday products
like glue, paint and the refrigerant
gas (Freon) in your A/C unit.
Over 2.6 million children, aged
12-17 use inhalant each year to
get high. Special tools are required to
apply and remove the caps, making it difficult for
non-professionals to access the refrigerant.
Proven, instant protection. Novent® protects
lineset refrigerant gas against intoxication by
inhalation of toxic refrigerant gas. Special tools
are required to apply and remove the caps,
making it difficult to access the refrigerant. They
are code compliant, proven to reduce venting,
energy loss, and provide protection from serious
injury or homeowner liability.
Insist on code compliant caps. Effective
February 2009 the International Mechanical
Code and International Residential Code require
that all outdoor access ports on AC Refrigerant
circuits be fitted with locking-type caps to make
tamper resistant. Novent® locking AC refrigerant
caps are the proven code compliant solution
in the marketplace.
