3.3.8 Pair and connect KDC20iand iOS4.0+ in HID mode



Users have to disable MFi option in System > MFi menu to use HID

Bluetooth profiles

 Users have to RESET the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch to change HID to iPhone

mode, and vice versa, after removing previous KDC connection.

 KDC with Bluetooth Spec2.1+EDR doesn’t prompt Pin code entry menu.



KDC with Bluetooth Spec. 2.1+EDR stack doesn’t require 4 or 6 digits PIN

digits entry

Follow the steps to pair and connect KDC models for MFi and iOS4.0 in HID mode.

1. Go to the KDC System > MFi menu.

2. Change MFi option to Disabled.

3. Change KDC to Pairing mode.

4. The iPhone/iPad/iPod touch will find a new device as

following steps if iPhone/iPad/iPod touch doesn't ask for the

PIN number.

device: The iPhone/iPad/iPod touch will ask for the PIN number. The

iPad will ask for 6 digits and the iPhone/iPod touch will ask for 4 digits.

7. As soon as the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch asks for the PIN number, KDC will display the

PIN digits selection menu. By default, it is 6 digits.

8. Press SCAN button to select the 6 digit PIN code for the iPad. Press DOWN button

and then SCAN button to select the 4 digit PIN code for the iPhone/iPod touch.

9. The iPhone/iPad/iPod touch will display the PIN code that users should enter into the

KDC.

10. By default, the KDC displays pin codes 555555(5555). Users can change the PIN code

by using UP button on the side of the KDC unit to increase numbers, DOWN button

to decrease numbers, and SCAN button to confirm and move to the next digit.
