POWER SUPPLY
Using on batteries ^ □
To insert the batteries
1 Open the iid of the battery compartment.
2 insert eight R14 (size C) batteries.
Insert them with the O and © marks correctly aligned.
3 Close the lid.
• Make sure that the FUNCTION switch is set to POWER OFF/TAPE
before inserting batteries.
Before using on batteries, disconnect the AC cord from the AC inlet.
Battery power is cut off automatically when the cord is connected.
No batteries are supplied with this unit.
Replacing batteries
The batteries need to be replaced when the OPE/BATT indicator
becomes dim, the tape speed slows down, volume decreases, or sound
is distorted during operation.
Note on the batteries
Do not mix different types of batteries, or old batteries with new ones.
• When you are not going to use the unit for a long period of time, remove
the batteries to prevent possible electrolyte leakage.
Never charge the batteries, apply heat to them, or take them apart to
prevent the risk of electrolyte leakage or explosions.
Using on AC house current ^ 10
Connect the supplied AC cord.
® to the AC inlet of the unit
@ to a wall outlet
CAUTION
The AC inlet of this set may be connected only with the attached AC
power cord or one recommended by AIWA CO., LTD. Use with others
may result in the risk of fire or damage of AC inlet.
