SETTING THE VIDEO CHANNEL ❑
If this unit is connected to the TV via the supplied antenna
cable, the video channel will have to be set.
The RF converter changes the video and audio signals played back from
the video ta~eto the same tv~e of sianals used for TV broadcasts. Set the
RF converter to VHF chan~el 3 or ~, not employed for broadcasts, with
the CHANNEL selector on the rear of the unit.
To receive audio/video output on the TV from this unit
Turn on both the TV and this unit. When your TV is connected only
through the antenna cable, select the video channel on the TV and select
the VCR mode by pressing the TVNCR button on the remote control,
When your TV is connected with an audio/video cable, select the video
input mode on the TV.
To receive a station broadcast from the TV set
Select the TV mode by pressing the TVNCR button, or turn the unit off.
When the unit is in the VCR mode, signals from the VCR are automatically
transmitted to the TV.
REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
INSTALLING BATTERIES ❑
1 Open the battery compartment lid on the rear panel.
2 Insert two batteries (R6, size AA).
Make sure the batteries are inserted in the correct polarity as indicated.
3 Close the battery compartment lid.
Incorrect battery use may cause leakage or bursting. Observe the
following precautions:
● Insert the batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated on the unit,
● Do not mix new batteries with old ones.
. Do not use different kinds of batteries or those of different voltage.
● Remove the batteries when they are exhausted, or when the remote
control will not be used for a long period of time,

front of the VCR and press the buttons on it.
Hints for correct operation

For the remote control to operate, it should have an unobstructed line
of sight with the REMOTE SENSOR.
When there is a strong ambient light source, the performance of the
infrared REMOTE SENSOR is degraded, which may cause unreliable
operation.
The recommended effective distance for wireless operation is 7 meters
(23 feet). Operation can be performed at an angle of up to 30° from
either side, but the effective distance becomes somewhat shorter.
Using televisions with the same type of infrared remote control in the
same direction may cause the unit to operate incorrectly.
