Setting the language
Setting the clock
The on-screen menu can display any of five languages,
English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
You must set the date and time for timer recordings.

1 Press MENU.
2 Press A/T to move the cursor ([? ) to CLOCK
SET, then press ►.
Before starting
If the VCR and the TV are connected with only the aerial
cable, press TVA/CR to display “VCR” in the display window.

Press POWER to turn on the VCR.
Check that the Output System indicator in the
display window lights as follow.
If not, press OUTPUT SYSTEM-NTSC.

Set DAY, YEAR, TIME (hours and minutes) and
DAYLIGHT SAVING as in step 3.
• The day of the week will automatically appear when'
you set the year. ^
• When the setting of DAYLIGHT SAVING is changed
from OFF to ON, the time advances by one hour.
5 Press A/T to select the desired language.
Each time you move the cursor, the on-screen display
language changes.
