This unit plays finalized CD-R/RW discs as well as audio CDs.
Playing a CD

Press function (FUNCTION) repeatedly to select
the CD function.

Press OPEN to open the disc compartment.
Place a disc with the label side up. Then close the disc
compartment.

Push the dial up (c) (press c on the remote
control) to start play.
To stop play
Push the dial down (s) (press s on the remote control).
To pause play
Press a. Press again to resume play.
To skip to the beginning of the current/preceding/
succeeding track
Push the dial left (f) or right (g) (press f or g
on the remote control) repeatedly.
To search (playing in fast forward or reverse)
Keep the dial pushed left (f) or right (g) (hold down
f or g on the remote control). Release at the desired
point.
To remove the disc
Press OPEN in stop mode to open the disc compartment.
Then pull out the disc while pressing the center pivot.
To select a track with the remote control (Direct play)
Press the numbered buttons to select a track.
- To select track 25, press +10, +10 and 5.
- To select track 10, press +10 and 0.
To change the display in play mode
Press display (DISPLAY) during play.

Q SURROUND system
The Q SURROUND system built into this unit uses only two
speakers at the left and right to create an atmosphere that
sounds as if you are surrounded by two front speakers and
two rear speakers.

Press sound/timer repeatedly until
"QSURROUND" flows from right to left.

Within 4 seconds, push the dial left (f) or
right (g) (press f or g on the remote
control) so that "ON QSURROUND" flows from
right to left and the "QSURROUND" indicator
lights up on the display.
To cancel the Q SURROUND effect
Repeat the above so that "OFF QSURROUND" flows
from right to left and the "QSURROUND" indicator goes
off.
Tip:
•The Q SURROUND system does not work in monaural
mode.
•When the Q SURROUND system is on, the sound may be
distorted at higher volumes. If this happens, turn the
volume down.
