. Subtract 1/8" from both measurements to allow space for the installation of the header z-bar. Make a pencil mark at measurement "A" , across the face and down the side of each z-bar as shown. Make another pencil mark at measurement "B", which will be approx. 1/16” to /8" shorter than measurement "A”. Draw a line across each z-bar from point B until in intersects with line "A”. THIS WILL BE THE SAW LINE MARK. 7. Hold the z-bar firmly and cut along the layout line with & hack saw.
5. Install the vinyl sweep by sliding it anti the proper slot at the bottom of the pander. Select the slot, which will provide the best seal against the threshold, Pinch the slog shut against the sweep with a pliers to prevent it from siding out. Cut off the excess leaving approx. 178" extending past each end of the expanded, NOTE: If you uve a WHITE door, your pander and sweep may be an integral wit. If o, the wove process is not applicable.
5. From the inside of the door, pull the door firmly closed and place the strike plate behind and in contact with the latch bolt. IF needed use the enclosed plastic shims under the strike plate to extend its reach. Mark the center of the slots in the strike plate and attach it o the wood frame P with the two (2) #6 x 3/4" screws. Operate the road and adjust the strike until the door closes tight.
6. Di ill a1/8" pilot hols into the door throng the pencil mark in the center of the lofted hole only, approximately 1/8” deep. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DRILL THROUGH THE DOOR. Attach the door bracket with one (1) of the colored #10 x 1/2* screws. Open the door and move the hold open washer o the other side of the figs on the closer rod. Operate the door several times 1o insure that the door apes fully and closes properly.
4.To aitch the hold up spring, close the doer and hook the spring 1o the lowest hanging link. Swing the chain towards the hinge side of the door and attach it to the wood bassist witch the double head nail provided, The nail shouts be installed approximately 3 from the side jamb of the entry door. [ NOTE: To allow full opening or removal of the door, detach the chain from the door bracket.
