Designed for broadcast, post and ProAV, as well as OEM developers, KONA 1 is a
robust, cost efficient single-channel 3G-SDI 2K/HD 60p I/O card with serial control
and reference/LTC. KONA 1 enables simultaneous pass-thru monitoring during
capture.
NOTE: KONA 1 uses on-card connectors only. No breakout cable or breakout box is
available.
• The KONA 1 endplate provides three full-size BNC connectors:
• Reference/LTC input (top)
• 3G-SDI input (middle)
• 3G-SDI output (bottom)
• Most 3G-SDI formats supported (see "KONA 1 Tech Specs" on page 82 for a
complete listing
• Up to 16-Channels of Embedded SDI audio in
• Up to 16-Channels of Embedded SDI audio out
• Mini PCIe form factor
• Genlock with reference input
• LTC input
• Internal HD/SD Hardware Downstream Keyer
• RS-422 machine control (9-pin) using RS-422 SMPTE (Sony) protocol
NOTE: A Low Profile version of the KONA 1 card with the same functionality is available
for developers.
