KONA Capture, Display, Convert v15.5 45 www.aja.com
HDR Screen
The HDR screen, available with KONA 5 and the 4K mode of KONA 4, provides
a mechanism to inform an HDMI display device (such as a TV or monitor) that
the video content is HDR. This includes generation of the Dynamic Range and
Mastering Infoframe and the static metadata descriptors as defined in CTA-861.3
and HDMI v2.0a. Included are pre-defined primaries values for BT.2020 and DCI P3
color gamuts.
NOTE: HDR over SDI supports transfer characteristics in band. KONA does not currently
support ANC packets for HDR metadata via SDI, because ST 2108 has not yet been
ratified by SMPTE.
