Editing sound parameters

Decay ﬁeld: Speciﬁes the decay time of the envelope (the time from when the attack time ends until the

sustain level is reached).

Sustain ﬁeld: Speciﬁes the sustain level of the envelope (the level that will be maintained as long as you

continue holding the key or pad).

Release ﬁeld: Speciﬁes the release time of the envelope (the time from when the key is released until the

level reaches zero).

Attack hold: Selects whether to begin the decay when the loop start point of the sample is reached (ON),

or to follow the settings of the envelope (OFF).

5. Move the cursor to the FILTER block, and edit the filter parameters.

In the FILTER block you can set the following ﬁlter parameters.

Type ﬁeld: Selects the type of ﬁlter. (For details on each type, refer to the reference manual.)

Cutoff freq ﬁeld: Speciﬁes the cutoff frequency of the ﬁlter.

Resonance ﬁeld: Selects the resonance of the ﬁlter.

Attenuation ﬁeld: Adjusts the level after the signal has passed through the ﬁlter. You can use this to

make adjustments when an excessively high resonance setting has caused the level to be overloaded.

R1–R4 ﬁelds: Set the rate 1–rate 4 parameters of the envelope.

L1–L4 ﬁelds: Set the level 1–level 4 parameters of the envelope.

Reference ﬁeld: Speciﬁes the reference level (0–100) of the envelope. This value is shown as a horizon-

tal dotted line in the displayed envelope.

When the envelope reaches the level you specify here, an offset will be applied to the entire envelope so

that the ﬁlter cutoff matches the setting of the Cutoff freq ﬁeld.

The operation of the envelope will change as follows, according to the Reference value and the L3 value.

Reference=0: The envelope levels will be added relative to the setting of the Cutoff freq ﬁeld.

Reference=L3: The ﬁlter cutoff will match the value of the Cutoff freq ﬁeld when the envelope reaches

the sustain level.

Reference=100: The ﬁlter cutoff will match the value of the Cutoff freq ﬁeld when the envelope reaches

the maximum level.

Hint: The Cutoff freq/Resonance ﬁeld display will change depending on the ﬁlter type.
