VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS ■ Range hoods must be ventilated to the outdoors, except for non-vented (recirculating) installations. ■ Do not ventilate the range hood into an attic or other enclosed areas. ■ Do not use 4" (10.2 cm) laundry-type wall caps. ■ The length of the range hood and the number of elbows should be kept to a minimum to provide maximum performance. For the most efficient and quiet operation ■ Use no more than three 90°elbows.
Calculating Vent System Length To calculate the length of the system you need, add the equivalent feet (meters) for all vent pieces used in the system. ELECTRICAL REQIUREMENTS Observe all governing codes and ordinances. Ensure that the electrical installation is adequate and in conformance with the National Electrical Codes, ANSI/NFPA 70 (latest edition), or CSA Standards C22.1-94, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1 and C22.2 No. 0-M91 (latest edition), all local codes, and ordinances.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS PREPARING THE LOCATION ■ It is recommended for the vent system to be installed before hood is installed. ■ Before making cutouts, make sure there is proper clearance within the ceiling or walls for the exhaust vent. ■ Check your ceiling’s height and the maximum hood height available for your ceiling before selecting your hood. 1. Disconnect the power. 2. Determine which venting method to use: roof, wall, or non-vented. RANGE HOOD MOUNTING SCREWS INSTALLATION 1.
Vent Cover Bracket Installation 5. Mark the hole’s location. 6. Attach chimney mounting bracket to the wall by using two M5 x 8 screws. A. Central point B. M5 x 8 screw C. Chimney mounting bracket Complete Preparation 1. Determine and make all necessary cuts in the wall for the vent system. Install the vent system before installing the hood. See Page 6 “Ventilation Requirements” Section. 2. Determine the required height for the home power supply cable and drill a 1¼" (3.2 cm) hole at this location.
STEP 1: MOUNTING THE RANGE HOOD 1. After preparing the location, use two or more people, hang the range hood on the two mounting screws (Part A), installed during preparations (Look at page 8), through the mounting slots on the back of hood (Part B1). Excessive Weight Hazard Use two or more people to move and install range hood. Failure to do so can result in back or other injury. A. M5 x 45 mounting screw B. Mounting slots C. STEP 2: CONNECTING VENT SYSTEM COMPLETE INSTALLATION FOR VENTED MODE 1. Install the non-return air flap on top of hood (if removed for shipping) with M5 X 12 screws (Part B). 2. Remove the tape from the air flow flappers. (Part C) A. Non-return air flap B. M5 X 12 screw C. Remove the tape from the flapper 3. Install the 6.2” exhaust pipe onto the shutter.
COMPLETE INSTALLATION FOR VENTLESS (RECIRCULATING) MODE IMPORTANT: Do not install the exhaust pipe and disconnect the power 1. Remove the filter panel(s) located at the bottom of the range hood. 2. Locate the motorized fan inside the hood. 3. Attach the carbon filters to both sides of the motorized fan. 4. Twist the carbon filter until it is in the locking position. 5. Reinstall the filter panel(s), and reconnect the power.
STEP 3: INSTALL VENT COVERS 1. When using both inner and outer vent covers, push lower cover down onto hood and lift upper cover to ceiling and install with two M5 x 8 screws. NOTE: For vented installations, the upper vent cover maybe reversed to hide slots. A. Inner chimney B. Outer Chimney C. M5 x 8 screw D.
RANGE HOOD USE The range hood is designed to remove smoke, vapors, and odors. For best results, start the hood before cooking. After, the cooking process is complete, allow the range hood to run for several minutes to completely clear all the smoke and odors from the kitchen. A. RANGE HOOD CONTROLS Operating the lights The On/Off light button controls both lights. Press once for “ON” and again for “OFF”. Operating the blower The “Speed” button turns the fan on and controls the fan speed and sound level for quiet operation. The speed can be changed anytime during the fan operation by pressing the desired blower speed button. The “OFF” button turns the fan off.
RANGE HOOD CARE Cleaning IMPORTANT: Clean the hood and panel filters frequently according to the following instructions. Replace the panel filters before operating hood. Exterior Surfaces To avoid damage to the exterior surface, do not use steel wool or soap-filled scouring pads. Always wipe dry to avoid water marks. Cleaning Method Use liquid detergent soap and water, or all-purpose cleanser. Wipe with damp soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse with clean water and wipe dry.
Non-Vented (recirculating) Installation Filters: The carbon filter is not washable. It should last up to 6 months with normal use. For replacement, please visit our website www.shoprangehoods.com . Replacing the LED/Halogen light Turn off the range hood and allow the LED/Halogen to cool. To avoid damage or decreasing the life of the new bulb, do not touch bulb with bare fingers. Replace bulb using tissue or wearing cotton gloves to handle bulb.

- Hold and press main connectors attached in the white plastic. - Push inwards the motor/lamp connectors until the locking system on connectors is well attached. 5) Connect hood to power supply and verify.
